A debate night on account of the research proposal ‘Duurzaam Recht’ (Sustainable Law) with regard to the increasing criticism on the law. According to the professor of Sociology of Law, Marc Hertogh, the divide between law and society can be reduced if critical citizens would be taken seriously and if they would be invited to propose improvements themselves. He thinks that this can be linked to successful examples of crowdsourcing, by which (via internet and social media) large groups of people are being used to solve problems.
